Leon Lewis

 

Founder and Head Practitioner

 

Unique sports massage founder Leon Lewis is a sports massage therapist VTCT Level 4 & Personal trainer Level 3 with over 8 years experience in healthcare and the fitness industry. Leon benefitted from learning extra skills from his tutor who was an osteopath. Previous experiences include working in clinic practices alongside a sports scientist, physiotherapist and health clubs.

Having worked with a wide range of clients with various conditions Leon has a practical understanding of sports, occupational, and every-day muscular aches and pains. 

Also being a qualified personal trainer from a football background who’s a avid gym goer, knows the benefits of regular sports massage for people involved in sports and training.

Through massage, Leon aims to get to the cause of the problem to ease tightness and restrictions, whilst also bringing fresh oxygenated blood to the muscles by increasing its flow. Leon can incorporate muscle energy techniques (MET) and trigger points into his massage sessions, with aftercare advice to ease pain, improve function and live better. Individually tailoring his expertise to meet the needs of each patient.

Paul initially trained as a yoga instructor in 2012 which, in turn, ignited his passion for human anatomy, naturally Paul followed his newfound passion by studying and training as a sports massage therapist.

Paul is passionate about helping people that suffer injuries or back problems such as sciatica, lower back pain, shoulder and neck problems and any other injuries that have caused repetitive strain injuries, for example, driving for long periods of time, through exercise or even sitting at a work desk for long hours.

Paul has gained extensive clinical experience through years of working in various clinics, prior to joining Unique Sports Massage Paul was at a chiropractic clinic.

Paul specialises in Sports massage, Deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, muscle energy techniques, soft tissue release, and more…

Alongside carrying out full assessments Paul also uses his yoga knowledge of the correct movements and exercises to aid recovery.

Health and wellbeing are extremely important to Paul so rest assure that he will consistently and contentiously work to ensure his patients feel your best.
